Want a decadent, warm, and comforting dessert? Look no further than this bread pudding recipe! Best of all, this recipe is super easy to make and quick to whip up. The ingredients are simple and are likely already in your pantry.

I love the texture of this bread pudding! It’s fluffy, custard-y, and has a crisp topping that goes perfectly with vanilla ice cream on top. Regardless of how skilled you are in baking, this recipe is super easy to make and anyone can make it. I highly recommend bringing this dessert to a get together or gathering!

Tips:

  • In order for the bread pudding to best absorb the custard mixture, it is best made with stale or dry bread. If your bread isn’t stale or dry, cut it into cubes, evenly arrange it across a sheet pan, and put it in the oven at 250℉ for 15 minutes.
  • This is totally optional, but I highly recommend sprinkling a bit of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on top of the bread pudding before it goes into the oven. The warm spices are comforting and they add a bit more richness.
  • If you don’t want to make the sauce to top the bread pudding (it’s extra work, anyway), just scoop some vanilla ice cream on top. The combination of warm bread pudding and the ice cream melting eliminates the need for sauce.
