On April 25 the Board of Education met in Darien to discuss many issues facing District 86 . The item that was of most concern to the students of Hinsdale South was lunch outside of the school. Students were able to discuss their support for this policy in the meeting. There were also plans to institute a system for students who have chosen a low attendance class, one example being Freshman Biology, to take them if they so choose. Along with this they would state that classes such as Latin and German 1 would still happen for the 2024-2025 school year along with Biology and Biology Honors.
As the meeting starts, members of the board decide to let speakers, many of those being students at South.
