The Chicago Bulls came off an upsetting 2024-2025 season, losing to the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament. This was sadly the outcome of the Bulls’ seasons the past few years which led fans to have low expectations for them going into the 2025-2026 season.
What came next shocked NBA fans as the Bulls started their season 5-0 and looked unstoppable! Power rankings moved the Bulls into the top ten in the league and things were looking good for Chicago basketball. With star guard Coby White sitting out for injury, guard Josh Giddey broke out dropping triple-doubles left and right. Along with Nikola Vucevic’s paint presence and the addition of Tre Jones, the Bulls were the number 1 seed! People thought the Bulls were competing for a title once again.
That was until disaster struck. The Bulls took a 5 game losing streak and after a couple more games, their record was brought to 9-10, raising questions: Was the winning streak just luck? Could the Bulls really make an impact this season?
With their winning streak, fans saw a glimpse on what could be in the Bulls’ future and how much damage they could do in the near future.
In all reality, the Bulls aren’t really capable of winning big, especially when it comes to the playoffs. The current team is way too young and inexperienced in comparison to their competition. This team was only meant to be a lottery team, fighting for a top pick in the draft.
All hope is not lost as the Bulls’ young core is extremely strong. If used well, this team could make major moves in coming years and even be competing for a championship!
