On April 30th, students, counselors, parents, and teachers would come together in the school cafeteria to see their friends and loved ones sign off on colleges where they will be furthering their academic and athletic careers. This event would be a powerful one with many teachers speaking on the achievements that these students have accomplished in their respective sports and their lives outside sports, and their accomplishments academically as well. Here are some of the many athletes that are pursuing their athletic careers here at Hinsdale south.
Zeke Bisharat, who is on the varsity tennis team here at Hinsdale South, will be committing to Lake Forest College to play on their tennis team. In an interview with Zeke he would state, “I wanted to go to Lake Forest due to the great offer they gave me, and the beautiful area and I like the people on the tennis team”.Dominck Rollo, who is on the varsity golf team here at south will be signing onto Moraine Valley Community college’s golf team at the Division 2 level, to pursue his future athletic and academic career. Dominck would help Hinsdale south secure 4th place at this years sectional conference, and has competed in many tournaments.
Parker Chan, who is on the swim team here at south is committing to Washington University in Saint Louis for swimming. Parker Chan has many notable achievements in swimming such as going all state for swimming 3 years in a row, participating in the Canadian Olympic swimming trials, as well as holding many pool records at Hinsdale South and at other schools.
Anya Patel who is both on the Gymnastics team and the Track team here at Hinsdale south will be signing onto the University of California’s track team for Pole Vaulting at the D1 Level. In an Interview With Anya she would state ” UC Berkeley has a great campus, and the coaches there are really nice, as well as it not being only an athletic school but a academic one which was really what I was looking for in a school”.
I am Elias Varesis, I am a sophomore and your photography editor for the 2024-2025 school year. I would join this club through my interest for journalism and photography. I am on the Bass fishing team, Swim team, Student Council, Mock Trial, Vespa, and Model UN.
