On December 12th, National Ding-A-Ling Day will take place. The purpose of this holiday is to reconnect with the friends and family that you couldn’t previously. We’ve all been very busy throughout the year and may not have had or made time for people that we know, but that’s exactly why we have Ding-A-Ling Day. Despite its unusual and silly name, this holiday is something everyone can look forward to and participate in.
National Ding-A-Ling Day is a pretty simple holiday to observe. All you need to do is make room in your schedule for at least a few minutes, grab your phone, and call the person you want to rekindle your relationship with.
Some students from South have made plans for Ding-A-Ling Day already!
“I’ll probably call my cousin Emily,” Junior Sean Laitman said. “We used to hang [out] all the time and catch up on each other’s school life with funny stories and stuff, but since she left for college, I haven’t talked to her much.”
Another student, Senior Pranav Goel said, “I would call one of my friends who went to college last year. I’ve had little to no contact with him since he graduated and would love to catch up with him.”
National Ding-A-Ling Day happens every December 12th, so make sure to celebrate it by giving someone a quick “ding-a-ling”!
