As the school year is in full swing, the workload that students are receiving is also drastically increasing.
Managing time is already a difficult task, and many of the students at our school are in challenging classes with heavy workloads, so managing time becomes a struggle for many of our students.
Previously, our school would provide us with planners at the beginning of the school year to help us manage our time, but this year we were not given any. This makes it difficult for students to stay organized. Considering that more than 60% of students at Hinsdale South struggle with time management, having a planner would help students stay organized and prevent them from falling behind on assignments and other projects.
Many students already do use planners to help them manage their time and work.
“Having a planner helps me feel less stressed,” Sophomore Tanishqa Modugulu says. “[It] helps me prioritize my time better too.”
Certain students at our school claimed that they would use a planner if it were offered to them. If our school had continued handing them out at the beginning of the year, students might have an easier time staying organized.
Many students at our school do not have effective ways of helping them stay organized. A great deal of students do not use anything at all to help them and just try to memorize the work they have, which might just cause them confusion. Having a planner would help reduce this.
