Health is seen as an extremely beneficial class for your every-day student, as it provides essential knowledge about the human body, nutrition, and mental well-being. However, many may disagree, arguing that the class is too repetitive and not engaging enough. These beliefs pose the question: is Health a valuable class to students at Hinsdale South?
Looking at student opinions, we begin to see some opinions. “Health can be boring sometimes, ” Sophomore Nicholous Emanuele said, “especially because it’s replacing PE , but I guess I do learn some stuff about nutrition and the body.”
Emanuele’s idea is echoed by many Sophomores as they miss the freedom of sports and physical activities.
However, they cannot say they don’t find the class helpful at all. The class, when used properly, can be beneficial to many students as it gives insight on many of the problems teens struggle with on a daily basis.
All in all, though Health may seem boring or unnecessary at times, the class, if used correctly, can have a positive influence on the daily lives of students and their understanding of life as a whole.
