Nick decided to do his Homecoming proposal for Bella at a home football game. Nick said, “I saw a video of this same proposal on TikTok after Bella’s little sister sent it to me and I thought it was a great idea.” He got many people involved in the event: Gabby Tangorra, Ava Edwards, David Bartuska, Victoria Drab, Ula Selickaite, Daxton Michaels, Matthew Jaffrey, Ayden Farrare, Gavin Slaughter, Langston Love, and Grant Deidrich. “Some people helped with making the actual posters and others held up the signs and handed me the flowers,” Nick said. 

At first, Bella knew about the proposal, but the day before the game, everyone told her it wasn’t going to happen. “I was completely unaware. I also didn’t expect it to be so extravagant,” Bella said. “I thought it was the perfect proposal. It was a lot more attention than I’m used to, but it’s my senior year so I was okay with the spotlight.”

“The only bad thing,” Bella said, “was the fact that everyone started spraying water bottles everywhere and I got all wet. That made me pretty upset. But overall, the proposal was perfect. I loved it so much.”

Andrew said that he asked Annina to Homecoming using a poster that “talked about singing and dancing because she’s a drama kid and that’s what interests her.” He also said that he made the entire poster on his own and only asked his friends whether or not his line was clever. 

Annina was completely shocked when she got asked. “I knew I was going to be asked but I didn’t know where, when, or how. I was completely clueless,” she said. Annina explained that the proposal was very sweet. She said, “It was really cute because it showed that he knows me. It was honestly a lot better than I thought it was going to be.” 

Ben used the help of both his and Mia’s friends to make the poster. “I got some ideas from her friends and then my friends helped me put together the actual poster. I did most of the work though,” Ben said. He decided to make the poster about a book he knew Mia read and liked. 

Mia said, “I knew he was going to ask me and that he had the sign ready, but I didn’t know when he was going to do it. It was really funny though because the moms at the soccer game gave it away by yelling at Ben to go get his sign.” Mia also mentioned that Ben used her favorite book and it “meant a lot” to her. 

Aiden asked Quinn to Homecoming using a poster that represented their mutual liking for the artist, Noah Kahn. Aiden said, “My dad helped me with making the poster but other than that the idea was all me.”

Quinn had an “awkward” experience with her proposal from Aiden last year, so she wanted to be asked in a more private setting this time around. “He knew I wanted it to be lowkey and that I wanted my mom there too. I had an idea about what the poster would say because Noah Khan is our favorite artist. I would’ve probably been able to guess it honestly,” said Quinn. “I felt really understood and it was perfect because it described our joking persnoalities.”

Sachin asked Maggie to Homecoming with a sign that alluded to an inside joke they shared. “There’s this song, Earned it, by the Weekend, and people joke about guys picking up girls using that song. So I just made the poster a play on the words, ‘earned it”, Sachin said. 

Maggie thought that the poster was funny. She said, “Sachin sometimes plays that song when I get in his car, so it was like an inside joke.” 

“No one helped me make the poster, but Maggie’s friend, MJ Hashim, helped me with some ideas,” said Sachin. 

Maggie did not know about MJ’s assistance in the proposal. “I was trying to get her to ask him what he was planning but she kept putting it off. I had no clue she was secretly helping him the whole time.” 

Heather went with a horror themed proposal when asking Siena to Homecoming. “I had two of my very close friends hide behind my trashcans. They jumped out and scared Siena while I grabbed the poster. It was so funny because she looked so shocked and scared at the same time,” said Heather.

“It was honestly so crazy,” Siena said, “I didn’t even know what emotions to feel. I was terrified, shocked, excited, and happy. I did love this poster though because we watched Chucky on our first date.”
